ETBO Scholarships

The Edge Travel Baseball Organization (ETBO) is seeking donations from local business for scholarships for players participating in our program.

ETBO is the areas premier travel baseball organization with 9 teams from 10U up through 17U age groups. We train and play October through August each year. Our players have the opportunity to be trained by college and professional baseball players which is one of the things that sets us apart from other programs.

The Edge teams will be made up of some of the finest players from the Southern Tier of New York and Northern Pennsylvania and compete regionally and locally in their respective age groups in search of the most competitive baseball available. The Edge players, coaches and organization strive to continuously improve in all aspects of the game with the goal of building the ultimate baseball experience. The Edge Travel Baseball program strives for excellence; however it also looks to the higher purpose of creating positive memories that will last a lifetime!

This, of course, does not come cheap. While we are an elite baseball program we do not want to be elitist in our player selection when it comes to finances. To this end we have started the ETBO Scholarship program. Our goal is to make ETBO affordable for any player regardless of family income levels.

We are reaching out to area businesses and asking for donations to the ETBO Scholarship Fund. These funds will be distributed by a Scholarship Review Board to our players on an as needed basis to deserving ETBO Players who qualify. We will offer two levels of scholarship, a $100 scholarship and a $200 scholarship. The scholarships will be named after the business making the donation.

If your business is interested in participating in the ETBO Scholarship program we are asking for either a $100 or a $200 donation. We will name the scholarship after your business or any other name you would like us to use. If you would like to participate, please fill out the form below and mail it to the address listed. You may also email me directly with this information and we can arrange to pick up a check from you.

Indoor Winter League Update 13U and up

We are into the 4th week of this 10 week league. I can tell you from attending almost every session that there has been a huge improvement with the players participating from week to week. It is a huge advantage come spring to have had our ball players hitting live pitching all winter and our pitchers getting the opportunity to throw to batters.

– Players who have not been able to commit to this league due to other sports commitments, etc., can still play in these games as their schedule allows. Games for the 13 and 14 year olds are Wednesday and Thursday night at 8:00pm. 15 and older boys play Fridays at 9:15. Any ETBO player not currently committed to a team in this league can show up on the appropriate age night and play in a game. The cost to participate is $15 per night and you can pay any of the coaches that are working the games.
